Biography

Shri. Ravindra Kishore Sinha, fondly known as RK, in the political circle and the Indian Security Industry is a man of many hues. Mr. Sinha, a graduate of Political Science and Law, began his career as a journalist specializing in Crime and Political reporting. He has received accolades for his work as a war correspondent during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. During the same period, he authored “Janandolan” that has been widely recognized as the first authentic research book on the student movement in India led by Jai Prakash Narayan between 1970 and 1975.

Having been a correspondent during the Indo-Pak war, he gained an inclination to assist ex-servicemen who retired from the Indian Armed Forces that inspired him to establish the Security & Intelligence Services (SIS) Group. With time SIS Group grew with his passion, drive and vision. Today, Mr. Sinha is widely recognized as a pioneer and Industry leader. In recognition of his contribution to the industry, he was felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award by Central Association of Private Security Industry (2013).

Mr. Sinha has also been a champion for social initiatives. His focus has been on skill development and job creation for the youth. Under his leadership, SIS Group and various other social and charitable organizations in Bihar and Jharkhand have skilled over 2 lakh youth and created permanent employment for over 1 lakh individuals from underprivileged sections of our society. He has also led various social initiatives like dowry free community marriages, temple construction, public libraries, free ambulance service, flood and disaster relief work in the state of Bihar over the last four decades.

Mr. Sinha was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by Bhartiya Janta Party as Member of Parliament in 2014. He has been involved with the BJP since the Jan Sangh days and has held several organizational positions with the party both at state unit and central organization levels. Most recently, he was involved as the Chairman of the Bihar Election Campaign Committee which delivered a landmark result both in the Vidhan Sabha & Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

Currently, Mr. Sinha serves as a Member of Parliament at the Rajya Sabha for the Bhartiya Janta Party and is the Group Chairman of the Security & Intelligence Services Group in India. In addition to this, he is deeply spiritual man committed to his family. He is also involved with various social and charitable organizations. He is currently the International President for Akhil Bhartiya Kayastha Mahasabha, President – Vatsalyagram and a Board Member for Swami Vivekanad Yoga Anusandhan Samsthana – SYASA University, Bangalore. He is also the Chairman of Indian Public School Educational Society & Executive Chairman, International Institute of Security & Safety Management (IISSM).
