Biography

Mushtaq looks after the Corporate Security function of Covestro across South Asia, Middle East & Africa. He is an experienced Security Risk Management professional with extensive experience in handling corporate security functions and risk management consulting.

Mushtaq has rich experience in conducting threat & risk assessments, to include risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and preparation of risk register and risk treatment plans. Conducting security assessments, audits, security design, preparation of enterprise wide global security policies, evacuation plans, crisis management plans, emergency response procedures, executive protection, security awareness training and TSCM. He also has hands on experience in management of extortion and ransom cases and industrial unrest.

Prior to joining Covestro, Mushtaq has worked with Hill & Associates as Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management; Control Risks as Crisis and Security Consultant for South Asia and ITC Hotels as a Loss Prevention Manager. Mushtaq has served as a commissioned officer with the Indian Army for eight years. He specialised in counter-terrorist operations and was operationally deployed in various conflict zones of India. He was conferred with “Sena Medal” by the President of India for excellence in counter- terrorist operations.

Mushtaq holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management from Symbiosis University Pune. He is also certified in Six Sigma (Green Belt) and Disaster Management. He is also the holder of the professional designation Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) from ASIS International, USA, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International USA. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu.
