Ajay Chagti

Biography

Ajay Chagti is a 1992 batch officer of DANICS and is holding the charge of Special Secretary (IT), Government of Delhi as well as Staff Officer to Chief Secretary.

Prior to this, he worked in Home Department, Delhi Government as Additional Secretary.

He carries a vast experience of working in various other departments in Government of NCT of Delhi and Andaman administration. These include Transport Department Delhi (where he was instrumental in phaseout of Blueline buses), Services (Personnel) Department Delhi, CEO Zilla Parishad Andamans, Additional District Magistrate (Andamans) etc.

As Special Secretary in Department of Electronics and Information Technology, he has been pushing ahead with e-governance reforms, electronic delivery of services, and implementation of Time-bound delivery of services Act etc.

He is a Chemical Engineer and MBA (1990) from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
