BK Ravi, IPS

Biography

Mr. BK Ravi belongs to the 1989 Cadre of the Indian Police Service from Tamil Nadu. He has had a prolific career in the Indian security industry.

Mr. Ravi served as the Additional Director General of Police and has worked in various capacities in Tamil Nadu and in deputation with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

In addition to this, he worked in Bosnia during 1998-1999 as part of a United Nations’ Peacekeeping Mission (UNMIBH).

Currently Mr. Ravi is a Security Advisor for Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and is an alumnus of Patna University, where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Sociology. In addition to this, he completed a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Delhi – Delhi school of Economics.

He is a recipient of the 50th Independence Day Medal, and a United Nations Medal for his service in Bosnia from 1998-1999.
