Capt. Deepak Patni

Biography

Captain Deepak Patni has had over 15 years of experience in the safety and security. A Captain in an Infantry Battalion of the Indian Army, he planned and conducted successful anti-terrorist operations in Jammu & Kashmir, and has worked in appointments to gain effective experience on administrative, logistical, and human resource development and planning.

Upon joining the Indian corporate sector after six successful years in the Indian Army, he gained valuable experience in Media Sales and Marketing where he developed and launched successful sales and marketing strategies for M/s Zee Tuner Ltd in Rajasthan – now known as Media Pro Ltd. Working as a marketing expert, Capt. Patni restructure the distribution vertical of the media channel and achieved 100% penetration of group TV channels in all the districts of Rajasthan – a feat that was never achieved and could not be sustained after 2010. In addition to this, he executed the launch of three TV Channels in Rajasthan, organized an anti-piracy campaign, and delivered piracy-free Multi-System Operators in Rajasthan.

Currently, Capt. Patni serves as the Manager Corporate Security for Cairn India Ltd – a company he has been associated with since the last seven years. At Cairn, he handles security management, community and external stakeholder’s management for terminals and oil & gas mines of the company. Working in the Energy Sector, he gained valuable experience as it provided him with an opportunity to deal with all kinds of industrial risk and provided learning to establish mitigation measures for such risks.

Capt. Patni is an alumnus of Delhi University, where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, and Jamia Millia Islamia where he completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Media and Creative Writing. In addition to this, he has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development from SCDL Pune, and Executive Management Program from MDI Gurgaon, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Material Management from Ahilya Devi Vishvavidyalaya. Furthermore, he has completed MP courses and programs conducted by Indian Army on leadership development for offensive/defensive operations.
