Biography

Mr. Narendra Kumar Mohapatra has had over 37 years of experience in Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Sales Services of Communications equipment. Throughout his career, he has worked for various organizations such as Bharat Electronics, Hewlett Packard, Shyam Electronics, UT Starcom, and Midas Communication.

Mr. Mohapatra specializes in new market penetration and product positioning in emerging markets. In addition to this, he has played a vital role in assisting several companies establish export businesses for Indian Telecom products in South east Asia and SAARC Countries.

Currently, he is leading the Electronic Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) as its Chief Executive Officer to provide skill development in the ESDM Sector across the Electronics sub-sector ecosystem. Mr. Mohapatra is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and IIT Delhi where he completed a Master’s Degree in Management Systems.
