Rituraj Sinha

Biography

Rituraj Sinha is a well-known face to most of us from the Security fraternity. He joined the SIS Group in 2002 after a brief stint as part of the United Kingdom’s Banking Sector and has been with the company ever since.

Over the years, he has built a reputation for himself in the global security and business support services industry by forging alliances and partnerships with global market leaders. In 2008, Rituraj was instrumental in establishing a strategic alliance with ServiceMaster Corporation, USA for SIS’ foray in Facility Management. In 2011, he formed a joint venture between SIS and PROSEGUR, Spain – the world’s second largest security company by market capitalization – for cash logistics operations in India. In addition to this, he established another joint venture with TERMINIX, USA – the world’s largest pest control company – to carry out pest control services in India.

With a penchant for deal-making, Rituraj has been an architect of game-changing transactions. This was highlighted in 2007 when he closed the first private equity investment transaction in the security sector through a deal with DE Shaw – a top global hedge fund. In addition to this, Rituraj has received recognition for orchestrating the first cross-border acquisition in the Indian security sector when in 2008 the SIS Group made a landmark acquisition of Chubb – Australia’s largest private security company.

Rituraj has developed a unique model of ‘socially responsible business enterprise’. Across its multiple subsidiaries, the SIS Group creates over 15,000 new permanent employment opportunities each year and imparts skill development through 13 residential training centers across the country. Rituraj, being extremely passionate about skill development and creation of job opportunities for the youth that belongs to less privileged backgrounds, has set a goal to make SIS Group one of the largest employers in the Indian private sector with a target of over 2,00,000 permanent employees by 2020.

Rituraj has been actively involved with the Indian government on issues pertaining to the Indian private security industry and is currently the Co-Chair of the FICCI Private Security Sector Committee and is on the Board of Directors of the Global Security Industry Ligue – headquartered in Switzerland. In addition to this, Rituraj is the Promoter & Chief Operating Officer for SIS Group Enterprises – a company that has reached an enormous turnover of over INR 4000 Crores under his management.
